Chedburgh is a rural village and civil parish in the West Suffolk district in eastern England. It is located on and around the A143, about five miles south-west of Bury St Edmunds. The 2021 census recorded that Chedburgh comprised 303 households and had a population of 691. The village has a hall (The Erskine Centre), a church and a pre-school/nursery that is very well attended and has an excellent reputation. There is a strong community spirit in the village and there are several groups that meet in the hall regularly including a variety of classes and events and a regular coffee morning. The Erskine Centre is run by a group of pro-active volunteers. Chedburgh also has it’s own Community Choir which is very well attended and puts on a number of events throughout the year. The Parish Council has set up a group of Youth Councillors who are encouraged to have a say in village matters. Overall, Chedburgh is a small, thriving rural community with lots going on throughout the year.
